FINALLY revised the poetry book on dreams and dreaming. I was dissatisfied with one of the poems so I gave it a rewrite. I also finally figured out a title for this book. Contacted the editor about when to send it in for edits.
Put ALL the poems I wrote for the deaf poetry book into one file. Counted the poems and rearranged them so they'd flow better. Did a bit of revising with the poems but not yet revising the whole thing. That's getting saved for another day!
Did some research for the book, End Game, via links from Martha.

Added more material to the Virginia section in the new
version of the haunted houses book.
Wrote in a chapter for the health book. While I was writing this chapter, I got an idea for a new poetry book! That is pretty cool because the other day I was thinking about how I am working on the last of the poetry books that I had unfinished and there were no more to write or create poems for. Now I have the idea for another poetry book to write! Yay!

I finished gathering together the poems for the poetry book I am working on this month. There are 16. So I'll finish writing the poems for this book. Not sure yet how many poems there will be in this one.

Yesterday was a VERY busy and also a difficult day but I
was able to set aside some time to go over my notes for the book I want to
finish writing this month. That would be the health book. I am thinking of
making changes because it needs to have a stronger focus for a specific
audience. I also went over notes on what poetry book I want to finish writing
this month.
Today I went over my notes again. I also started gathering together what poems I have for this month’s poetry book to finish
writing. It’s the last incomplete poetry book!
I WOULD also like to finish writing the book on overcoming fear, as well as the other book for the "Revise Your Writing" series (and I also came up with a new chapter to include in this book and added to my notes for it) and the seventh GHOST Group book, but we will see.
This being the last month of the year, I also hope to finish fixing up the new version of the haunted houses book, get the new cover specs, and get it published.

Today is the last day of November! And one of my
last-day-of-the-month routines for THIS particular year is to check my progress
on the book I planned to finish writing this month, see what more needs to be
done, check my notes for this book and determine if I can indeed write the
last of the book today! I was ready to do just that for the poetry book I have been
working on this month – and everything toppled to the ground when I pulled out
my original note for this book. When I got the idea for this book, I wrote it
down on a sheet of paper. That paper has been in my writing notebook all month.
But I never really consulted it. I gave it a quick glance, got the theme “Deaf,”
and went to work. Then today I read it more thoroughly and, well, it just threw
me off track. Because I saw my original notes and realized that I wasn’t
writing the book I originally planned to write! The poems I wanted to write
were experimental poems. Something a little bit different from the norm. The
poems I have been writing are NOT experimental! Most of them are free verse,
yes, but they’re pretty much your standard fare for poetry. So I saw my notes
and suddenly wanted to write THOSE kinds of poems for this book! Oh, but wait,
I already wrote these other poems for the book. They’re not experimental, but
they’re not bad, either. (Well, that’s what I think, anyway!) And they do have
some good messages coming from a deaf person to the hearing world. But I couldn’t
really decide which type of book to make THIS particular poetry book. I thought
about it a lot, compared it to similar books already out there, and thought on
it some more. I even tried writing some of the poems in that experimental form.
I STILL couldn’t decide! So I will leave this one unfinished until I can decide
which route to take with it. If anything, maybe I’ll just combine it. I don’t
think that will hurt anything.
Aside from that, I also did some more writing in GHOST
Group 7 today.
LATER: Hours after I posted that, I wrote up a storm. Lots of poems of the experimental type. I have decided to combine both books. The poems will be BOTH traditional and experimental. That said, it's done. Yay!

Today I received images from my publisher for possible
use on my novel’s cover. We went over them and I STILL couldn’t decide between
two of a certain image that I liked. It was suggested to me that I ask my kids to pick
so I did. They both selected one image so that’s the one that was chosen! I am
just glad I did not have as much trouble with the character image.
Worked on novel revisions.
Wrote some poems for the poetry book.
Did some research for the Supernatural book. I have
decided that there is enough material in this show for this kind of book but I
will finish out the year gathering information for it before I put together my
book proposal.

This month's book to finish writing is a poetry book. The theme is deafness/being deaf. Anything related to the deaf world. So I started putting together a manuscript of what poems I have for this book so far. I also hope to finish writing the first book in the "Revise Your Writing" series. I only need about 5 chapters for that one!

It's the first day of a new month so I updated all my paperwork related to book work in my writing notebook. Removed my notes for the book I finished last month and added new notes for the next book.
The book I plan to finish writing this month is a chick lit novel. I started writing this novel for NaNoWriMo in 2006 but I never finished it. So I'll finish it now! I read over what I have written so far and wrote some more in the book. Made notes for it about the format and blog template (my character's blog posts are included in the story). Also planned out the rest of the book.
Made a PDF version of my new poetry book, Poems for the Grieving Heart. This will be available for reviewers.
Added more material to the New Jersey section of the new version of the haunted houses book. Finished New Jersey.
Changed the title for one of the chapters in nonfiction book FWTW and started writing this chapter.
Did research for a chapter for the nonfiction book, TLBTH.

I forgot to finish sending comp copies of my new book FABULOUSLY FRUGAL to contributors so I took care of that today.
Also wrote a blog post about FF. It’s a “story behind the story” kind of post. Check it out here.
Did some website updates today. Moved FF to my Books page and added the poetry book to the “Coming Soon!” page.
Yesterday I started to put together the poetry book on
the template file and getting it formatted but the keyboard broke and so I
could not finish it. It was late at night when we had the new keyboard set up
and ready to go. I finished working on it today and uploaded the file. Also
added the price for the book as well as other selling info. Took care of the
cover business for this book.
I got a new official URL for my Facebook author page. Yay! It's here: https://www.facebook.com/authordawncolclasure/
